"I completed the 4 week intensive dog grooming course with Tiarne in June 2023 and it was the best decision I have ever made for my career as a dog groomer. Since then I have returned to do my Certificate III in animal care and loved it, I completed the practical component with Tiarne and she was so supportive and helped my through it all. "In January of 2024 I completed The Elite Dog grooming Academy’s 2 week intensive course. Tiarne Perkiss taught not only me but 4 others, completing different courses, at the same time while never failing to give each of us the patience and attention needed to perfect our work. The course was incredible, starting with a day of theory where we learned the fundamentals of owning/managing a grooming salon while also being taught various techniques and styles that could be used on different coat types and textures. The team we met and worked around at Perky Pooches ensured that we all felt welcomed at the salon and were very happy to help us students when needed. The course allowed me to make new friends and connections in the dog grooming world with people who shared similar interests. By being almost entirely hands on, the course allowed us students to physically learn and interact with dogs in order to be prepared for any breed and/or temperament we may run into when starting our own salons. I now run my own successful dog grooming business, which I owe a lot of it to Tiarne Perkiss and the amazing support she has shown during and following my time at the academy. I look forward to further developing my skills with Tiarne and the team at Perky Pooches when I inevitably return for more training."
